American Girl Tattoos

Haven't you heard? American Girl dolls are following the trend set by Barbie and now have tattoos discretely hidden on the dolls' chests....This is what I walked out to after going in to the bathroom for 45 seconds. I repeat, 45 seconds. Oh, the damage a two-year old can inflict in no time flat. Claire decide to grab a sharpie(that was put away, trust me!) and "draw on the baby's belly." The baby that she just received for Christmas; the baby that if it had been marked anywhere else with sharpie could have been cleaned with a magic eraser; the baby that she loves dearly and carries around everywhere. Oh, the joys! :)

hey, cabbage patch dolls had tatooed heiney's - guess bitty-baby was jealous!

i taught dagny that sharpie pens smell like poopy (it was hard to say, but worth it): she still calls them "poopy pens" and won't go near them. i'm not assuming your child will be that gullible...but it worked for us :-)

OK, so as a mother of three bitty babies (three little girls too) let me first say, that it wouldn't be near as painful if the dolls didn't cost so much money! (I am not bitter really), second though, she will still love that baby even with its marks. My smallest one has several birth marks on her body, and as you can imagine, her doll needed the same birthmarks... out of purple sharpie. Two years later, she still loves the doll. I am sure that your cute little one was not meaning to tattoo her baby but really just add a belly button. And at least the dolls cute clothes (that cost more than your childs) will cover that belly button up:)
